The past few Wednesday evenings Creeps from Fell Spirits and Wargs of the North have banded together to kill a few Freeps in Ettens. Burglars are a particular prize to be won of course, the killing blow on a certain ‘Gentleman Thief’ being particularly sought after. With things being relatively quiet in Middle Earth whilst we wait for something new to arrive these evenings have been great fun. So for those of you yet to visit the creep side of Ettens, get in touch with your inner creep and come join us. |

After a couple of weeks in the planning stage, last weekend we had our first joint raids to Dar Narbugud with The Rangers of The North. A great time was had by all and in the process DN was cleared and three people from each kin got a new item of clothing. We have decided to make this a regular event and both kins now have access to phpraider to sign up and Que has created a new board on the Free Spirits forum for both kins to access to talk about strats, raid dates, check RCS etc. So, Welcome Rangers. In addition Andruillas (Rangers leader) has created an in game chat channel for both kins, just type / joinchannel freespiritedrangers and away you go. For April we have joint raids to DN on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th April and then on Sunday 25th April at 6pm the Rangers have invited us to a Hobbit Wedding in the Shire with some fun events afterwards and hopefully lots of pie! |

Morgaraf and Cargaraf, the Twins of the Tower of Barad Guldur, have finally succumbed to Free Spirits. After several frustrating evenings spent with the 'trash' between Durchest and the Twins, the team was finally victorious, and we got a quick peak at the mobs to come as we make our way up to the top of the tower for a visit with the the Nazgul and his Fell Steed. Grats to all as always for great teamwork and persistance and thanks to those who have helped us get this far but were not able to be there on the night. But most of all grats to Bara who not only got the barter item for the +30 rad gloves but also found himself the proud owner of a brand new pointy hat which according to Mali is the first step towards this raid success. So, pointy hats at the ready.......lets get to the top of the tower. |

Free Spirits raid progress continues. On Tuesday night we beat Durchest hard mode for the first time. To achieve HM Durchest you have to kill the original five adds plus an additional five adds before Durchest himself dies. After an initial wipe and a little fine tuning of the strats the five 'normal mode' adds went down smoothly. As Durchest's morale fell Que began to release the additional adds one by one. We had a nail biting finish with the final add being at 3K and Durchest at a little over 1K but fortunately the add died first closely followed by Durchest. Hard Mode nets two chests each with a barter coin for an armour piece so grats to Slowie on his new boots and to Goggs who won the chest item. Bal got a new teal bracelet and there were the usual relics and runes. Disappointingly, only two members of the team remembered to wear their pointy hats. |

Six weeks following the release of SoM, and after a lot of grinding of medallions to purchase rad gear, Free Spirits began their campaign against the Tower of Barad Guldur, the new 12 person raid. After a couple of interesting and expensive evenings learning to 'run the gauntlet', followed by a few encounters with Durchest himself, he finally sucumbed to Free Spirits team work. Congratulations to all who contributed to this success and especially to Mac who won the barter item to get the first piece of +30 rad gear in the kin. Now for Morgaraf, Cargaraf, The Lieutenant and hard mode! |
